The Institute of European Media Law (EMR), partner of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), has published a comprehensive report on the state of media freedom and investigative journalism in European countries.

Thirteen key recommendations and findings from a global study on the protection of journalism sources in the digital age have been published in Paris. The study, based on research covering 121 UNESCO Member States, concludes that between 2007 and 2015 there were noteworthy developments in 69% of the countries examined – mainly with negative impact.
